Yes I yelled this, mostly on the Japanese “Swapdoodle” when the fucking child security popped up. Frankly not a thing is ever blocked on my (Born May 29th 1978, so 38) system. Some how this block leads to a credit card thing, I don’t fucking get it. Didn’t quite have the patience for this 3ds nonsense. New 3ds is similar, it enforces a “child protection” be set up before usage, I am fucking 38. If it said this on box, I would have refused to buy it.
When you sell the Nintendo Switch, put it on the box and sales material, tell them you plan on treating adults lie children.

Before I start, yes you can use a controller with most of what you will find on Steam, and with some cel games. But this is the major point.
I was raised around a few concepts, I had a father who studied a few martial arts (I won’t say anything I have), and a mother who was a dance instructor, student and ballet performer with some Jazz, et al…. under her belt. Also she had a Yoga Instructor history as well.
Now, what these things teach in a way of common fundamental are palms up, a full lotus adds foot bottoms up too (I will say I can do this). Basically energy leaves your body in a way that is less of a pain this way. Like with a punch, it always starts palms up, and impact is down. Guess you release the bad energy, grapple some good, and the hit makes it bad and you go back and release it again.
I wish I could type palms up. That would make this a whole lot easier.
So when I say, a controller, more commonly used by the console gamer, is the best.
Usually with PCs we have an image of a Golem type guy hunched at a keyboard and typing away. I always hated using a Keyboard as with touch screen and now I see why.
The console way is palms up. Arcades were palms down, but it got you out. Now we have 3ds which inspires out-going with Street Pass and Pedometer Coin rewards use in many games, perhaps under used. Nintendo was largely the brightest of companies in designing even for the biggest of hands. Even had an RPG controller for Super Nintendo in Japan (Super Famicom). Wish they still used that model.
Basically with something like the RPG controller you’d sit back with a palm up and relax in play. To an extent the Wii and Switch controls are like that (separated the latter machine is no good for huge hands) and the Wii U Pad was ideal for dual palm up play with big hands especially. Worst design I would place on Microsoft, who knows why.
Point being, if anyone tells you it’s wiser to play something endlessly palms down, they need to re-examine.

So imagine you had a game, and well it’s about you and friend Miis (Mine showcased are Myself (BlkDokeshi), Kakes, Cathy, and Hector vs Gagarin (his ACNL Mayor name, seemed perfect for a villain).

So in this current state, or promo/demo product in Japanese 3ds. You learn about something called Miitopia coming in December, a sort of RPG-ish thing with Miis. You learn about it…well…by making 2 types of cliche trailers. One is all action, one is the “character intro” type.

I’ll have more pics on the FB Page. It looks fascinating, the eventual product I think may be like 5000 Yen in current currency rates. It seems likely they took the creepy out of Miitomo and Tomodachi Life.

DQ11 is reported to be using a “use modern” “use classic” graphic choice, which is funny, it was something I put in a FF sequel(s) product submission I submitted maybe a couple of decades ago.

I originally thought of it and suggested it, because I hated polygons in the FF Games like FF7, but understood some may want it.

It didn’t fit their marketing plans.

Game started with Meteor hit, the Cayotuh Shamans and Civilians are attacked by a wave of alien Dark Mages lead by the soon to be protagonist, brought back things like Ordeals and was a story of redemption. Sometimes the rout to being a hero of light is seeing your own darkness.

Besides pushing it to people who are clearly upper class students who likely use protest signs and Tumblr more than console games a few things came to mind.

1. No sign of dual screen usage, certainly not in mobile mode (which propelled the DS success).
2. There are USB plugs in some shots, but no reference can state usage of direct modem linkup (to avoid lag and slowing online), nor does it suggest backward controller compatibility (like Wii U’s Pro Controller, I use it on steam, I like it better than that shitty X-Box).
3. You need more than one with family and room mates as a mobile system not as a standard console. Maybe if price specifics were mentioned earlier this objection would be smaller. But imagine having 2-4 switches at your house and no professional reason to. Especially family, that’s when you don’t let kids have it in their room and you have a game room.
4. The separated controllers, only good for small hands. You see that blonde chick on the reveal? She was be 5’1, I am gigantic. How Fils-Amie would play it, that would be something to see.
5. They made it look like a pretty Vita that Vita people really wanted when the PS Vita’s TV item came out.
6. We only saw style and no substance, you want to excite people, tell people everything, make sure they feel fully informed about their consent to buy when they plan things out.
7. You’d think they would have picked a new Metroid Side Scroller and Mother 3 as a starter game for this system. Rather than a LoZ that looks more like a lit up DarkSider’s game.

The Good thing: Carts. But they could have added a USB drive to Wii U for this.
As for hybrid, and IR device like the Steam Link could have been made for the 3ds.

Well that’s it in a nut shell. Should be a Nintendo Direct to barely answer this and other skeptical problems of shrewd consumers who don’t want to spend money if they don’t have too, even if, like me, they love Nintendo in most cases (not N64, except Wave Race).

*Oddly enough when this site was on Dragon Fire I posted a system like this (late 90s) in support of Carts and hating chrome hand helds, when a Game Gear was around (or Lynx). I thought of how plugging a game gear sized thing into a bay may improve things and run the software on TV. Called it the Matrix at the time, my “Polygon Begone” article was showcased back then.

It’s a game that reaches such traditions as to tell you very little of where to go and when. Slave Master is far from obvious in all things, it targets politicians to social attitudes to white slavery to gay bashing.
Sado Maso goes and talks to a King who sends him on a quest where he ends up meeting a woman on a bridge to an old hidden unholy place, to a collision with a politician seeking to something very evil. No not the game.
Some town folk are entities of dirty jokes and some have hints. Some won’t show until you finish another task.
