You do a Koopa race and try starting with a long jump. You get a high jump.

ZL + B could be a long jump and ZR + B could be long.
Or ZL/R with B extra long, and A Extra High backward.
How can we have two moves or actions that could easily end up being the wrong one when buttons are hit, not be assigned better with buttons idle?

You go through a door, you see a stage it may be in two colors.
A few geometric shapes. It appears they had left over assets and decided, in some cases, sadistically, decided to add gratuitous stages, that you still need to collect them moons.
Most of these situations would be interesting if they took care to make something beautiful like New SMB Wii U that had a Starry Night theme, for instance.
It becomes even more trite when you can get 200 coins and buy the 2 moons post story-campaign-game in the store.
I’m sure there is something else, I really should take notes.

I went through this “Main Campaign,” and it took less time than any other Mario Game I played since SMB1 (Mario Brothers – Original, was long, but I never saw an end, just a very large score). Further more the Broodals really don’t give you much in back story, just seems like the SMB RPG’s (also longer) living weapon Mighty Morphin Parody. With less of a back story.
No Koopa Kids, not even at the Wedding. Imagine the joke that the big Bella Abzug like Broddal mother walks in and realizes Bowzer (her Husband) was two timing.

There is a major hang up, selling Mario as a good guy.
One, he looks like he set Pauline with a good job running Metropolis (which is a lot like the Movie in many scenarios, and very conformist to her design), which is likely one of his many favors for saving her, no doubt she gives him nothing else, wink.

He gets this hat, he parasitically controls other creatures to make his way along, as opposed to the past where he at least waged an honorable war against Bowser the King Koopa (Kappa).
He’s fighting Turtles, and I rather like them, well now it seems Bowser’s main minion is busy organizing walking and running competitions.
Even the one good mini-game, he uses a parasitic method to do (cart racing).
Perhaps if Cappy popped up and became the Dark Side villain after Bowser is down for the count, and all this time you learn Mario’s mind was under control because of his undying desperation for a little Royal head.

There is lots of decent exploration, but most of it is locked off till the end, and none if is really necessary for a game, I wonder why even have a game with a beginning and middle and end. Just have someone run around a field like and idiot collecting stuff. Just like you can do if you get out.

You can’t die, yeah, you need coins for other things, but really you make more coins in 4 steps than reviving costs. It’s the same madness of New SMB 2 on the (New)3ds/2ds. Except there are costumes to buy, some needed for the Odyssey (no doubt named for a Homer Story) Power System. Somehow the Power System Governs Store Product Availability.

No Luigi, his Clothes are there, and Yoshi comes way too late.

No one even pays me to pay attention to a game on here, let alone give me a free early copy, and I bought this one, hell my policy is if I get a copy in advance for free, and I like it, I will have to buy it, either a new one (for a friend or site giveaway) or that one. Stating “I was willing to buy it,” as a spin on a review thumb up.

No sir, this I wouldn’t have bought if I played through it first, it’s not horrible, but it’s not worth the first run price, wait till it goes back to EB-Gamestop as a trade in or goes cheap, is my recommendation. It might be worth paying 50-60 bucks, if you have it, enjoy what you can from it.

Too much non-Mario Kart, the Chinese Stereotype Dragon track is the best but also unplacable track, may be a non-anything. A fucking oval, excite bike. Fucking oval! Hate it the most. Zelda one is out of place and Rupies not Coins, put Mario shit in it rather than shill for Hyrule Warriors and you have an awesome track. Guessing the next Animal Crossing is coming may refuse to get it out of buyers remorse on these tracks, Yoshi is a nice ride but not a new based. The ice track sucks it goes on and on with little zzzzzzzzzzzzz…sorry snoozed on it and I paid for it just so I could tell people what a rip off it was with authority. At least it makes the main game less the rip off, because if these races weren’t ever in it, it would be just fine. I paid for focus group crap and a Black Shy Guy (pissed the color skin didn’t start oh Mario suits are skins not new characters) although would have lived with Red Shy if must, but originally thought it came with the Merc. I love the Mercedes Arrow, all I paid for was a product placement I didn’t mind, hell I use it. Just got my gold glider oddly enough. Although they broke the entertainment rule never done without a DLC, leave the audience wanting more, now I want less. There isn’t a GP worth of tracks I’d keep in this if got them one at a time. Went to Bayonetta as soon as I could after this. I don’t distrust Nintendo Console Gaming like the others, but not enough trust to ever, ever, buy anything without all the info I need about the product and no pre-orders off of Amazon (easy to cancel, not like EB and endless ID crap)….
All the original tracks, what did they cost? 70, for the real set on disk. So, 2.92 (70 divided into 24 races) a track. DLC 0.75 a track, it’s 1 per tack if bought 8 at a time. not a great deal if you know something about bulk purchase, see the 8 0r 16 should cost more per track than the 24, meaning if the DLC is buck and half per track the 24 should be less than a buck a track. Granted give it about 20 more for the rest of it on disc. Oh I shouldn’t lose space on my indie/VC space either.

Youtube doesn’t even work with it day one. it wasn’t broke, the fixed it, well maybe they broke it DLC day one by fixing it.

Adding Legend of Zelda and Yoshi was a shilling Hyrule Warriors and the Nintendo Little Big World with Yoshi as well as a sign they may be making a new F-Zero although at least it’s a racing, Excite Bike is a shill for their Remix series. All the non-Mario Kart blows and we paid for a shilling, an ad. Well we know a new Animal Crossing is on some Nintendo Minds.

So the only thing Mario are rehashes and some skins? Rip Off! It isn’t Super Smash Racer or Nintedo Universe Motocross (which by the way is why bikes are horrible, it’s called “Kart”). Is it not possible to get my money back? Frankly now for the whole damn thing? Some here are too easy. Wasn’t called a reshash or multiverse or classic pack. Next time inform before you sell. You should be a more trust worthy company. Sold that down the river.

*It may seem literal but Kart is not slang for a bike.
*Mario and Link have no connections, maybe a chain chomp in Awakening, but more as a fractal. With Wart Jr and all the cookie decor Animal Crossing has more contact like it’s the dream world of Wart’s.

If they were dead set on bleeding people on “DLC”: a Nintendo for “nothing new” then why not offer an openly Classic and Brand New collections rather than hiding this crap knowing refunds are not available?

As it is the track that is the real attraction since Mario and Princess skins are not added characters any more than multi colored Shy Guys and Yoshi. Link is way out of it and cookie prizes and what seems to be Wart’s son and Dream world seem to be the only thing linking Animal Crossing. Oh Bowser just gets a skin, he isn’t a new character.

Letter to Nintendo Support (Purpose, to learn what we haven’t been told):
I like playing as Black Shy Guy, but, I have my doubts about the pre-ordered 22GB (mentioned after I decided not in the sales pitch) DLC in which the only part I like is a Shy Guy color scheme selection. F-Zero and Link, what do they have to do with Mario? Wanted it to write about it. I figuring I have all I need to know. The fact it costs more than 12ish but that it may cost a whole new external HD at min. sold at TBs at min 100 CDN. No one sold it at the big picture.
This is the story. Is it possible to refund before, not saying I will since the other part, is I can’t play the whole online gambit without it, assuming it runs online, but I am guessing like with Fire Emblem and the Dread Scroll street pass, without you can’t play with the passers. Or in this case holds back the online experience with people who have it and those who do. If it isn’t online too, then it’s also a rip off. Characters and Vehicles aren’t much the tracks (that could have been on the original disk at 5 to 10 bucks more if that) it’s a subtle arm twist for what could have been or could be (in sequel terms). Will corporate admit this? Or is there a better argument to keep it? Why it is enjoyable to more than a short sighten focus group?
