In a while I have learned a bit about modding and have learned how real massive it is.
Modding, is the modification of a Console in order play free downloadable games, or
perhaps sold pirated copies.
I have learned that there is a method of sleeping a 3ds system while slipping in an over ride
cartridge that uses an SD card that can hold hundreds of games.
With the Switch, they may think all the System Updates prevent or stop the modders from hacking
the system, but as far as I am informed, people can have a game system totally over run to look
totally legit and link to a PC where it can download up to 200 game titles. Now why someone could
begin to imagine a situation where they will manage to play all 200 games, is beyond me.
I got enough of a backlog at less than 100. I am made to understand that people get
all the updates and DLC without problems though this tinkering.
Other machines being Modded are Playstations with the exception of the disc drive.
I will say one thing about this, if companies can’t sell games, they won’t produce them, so think about it,
if you intend to download freebies. Also, no guarantees can exist, there aren’t dangerous modifications
in the game software itself.
