Ranking the Paths: #Octopath

Having finished all 8, ending with my starter Primrose all with the special jobs, with few after story things to do left I thought I’d rank the Characters/Stories..

08. Ophelia
The Cleric with a slight Celis look with none of the awesome, is the weakest one, you roam around a bit with her sanctimonious quest with slight improvement in Chapter 4. Main Villain is quite obvious from the start.
She does have very nice skills suited for dueling with magicians (shielding). Finally a reflect that allows healing magic to not bounce.

07. H’aanit
Beast Dueling and Mastering, gets interesting up in third with the wild Seer. I never ended up having to use the special item made for this.
Capturing is annoying as ever. Awesome Bow attacks.

06. Alfyn
Not terrible, a really good turn here and there. A strong ending, with a familiar name.
Who is Graham, definite sequel in mind with more info.

05. Therion
A very handy pick pocket, and has a strong story, with an interesting twist, although you might already guess to it before you end up there.

04. Olberic
Great Dueling, and an awesome story, lots of twists. Too easy to spoil.

03. Cyrus
A very good Mystery Story character, although I hate his voice. Some nice final philosophical chatter. Some bloody stuff. Nice spells, he was the second last recruit, big mistake.

02. Tressa
Adventures in Capitalism, this one almost made my black heart stone skinned nature still cry. This is a very sweet character, but not in a sickening way. Some useful skills too, and very charming. No Taloon, but still an Ace Merchant.

01. Primrose
Somewhat biased, on that some of my relatives danced for a living. My mother even taught Ballet. But it is the best and most interesting story and coolest character, and her first Boss is a pleasure to kill. A real bastard. There are a lot of bad ones, even her last, but that one is a piece of work.

They all have small hints as to being interconnected which makes this look like a huge Easter Egg to a second game. Who is Graham, will the Obsideons keep going? A sort of nod to a English Comedy character in Primrose’s Bosses.
